Will you be banbury artist of the year 2022?
Each Spring we hold Banbury Artist of the Year art competition, or BAOTY for short. Who will be crowned BOATY this year?
The competition is now live, and the deadline for emailing entries is 30th APRIL.
BAOTY is an online competition with four categories:
- Professional,
- Amateur,
- Young (18-25 yrs),
- Junior (12-17 yrs), and
- Primary (7-11 yrs),
and is held on the Banbury Artist of the year Facebook page. Winners in each category are decided by viewers voting for ('liking') their favourite piece of art in each category between 11th-25th May.
The winner with the most likes in each category will get a gift voucher to spend in store. The amount given will depend on the overall number of enries.
Ts and Cs:
- Entries are a photograph and sent to us via email address banburyartistoftheyear@gmail.com .The best quality image you have will ensure more people can better see your work..
- Please make sure that your email has 'BOATY' in the 'subject' line,
- which category the piece is being entered into,
- the name of the artist entering. (When entering the Primary and Junior categories, a first name and age is fine if you do not want your child's full name and age posted online.)
- A £2 entry fee muyst be paid on entry, and paid via PayPal at PayPal.me/TheArteryArtShop and please let us know that it is for BOATY and which entry in the notes section.
- There is no limit on entries per person, but it is advisable to enter one piece per person entering.
- The competition is open to anyone within a 20 mile radius of Banbury town centre
- Any subject, any style, any medium is permitted to enter.
